Hughes Aircraft has been awarded a $12.5 million US Army contract to develop advanced technologies for ballistic-missile-defence imaging sensors. The company's Sensors and Com- munications Systems division is to develop technologies needed for more compact signal-processing electronics through the Advanced Sensor Data Compression and Processing programme.
