Robin Beard has been appointed chairman of Hughes International's European arm, Hughes Europe, based at Brussels, Belgium. Beard, who has also been appointed a vice-president of Hughes Electronics, recently completed a second term as NATO Assistant Secretary General for Defense Support, the most senior US civilian post.
