Hunting is to withdraw from the defence business and concentrate on its oil activities to improve shareholder value. Two companies are understood to have made offers for Hunting Defence, valued at around £100 million ($158 million) and comprising Hunting Contracting Services, Hunting Engineering and parachute specialist Irvin.
