ISRAEL AIRCRAFT INDUSTRIES (IAI) unmanned-air-vehicle (UAV) division, Malat, has flown its Eye View lightweight UAV for the first time. The flight, which took place in early January, lasted 15min. The UAV will be equipped with a day/night plug-in optronic payload weighing 15kg. The Eye View is 2.9m long, has a wingspan of 4m and weighs 80kg. Malat is also developing a heavier version, the Eye View 2, fitted with a more-advanced optronic payload.
