The International Air Transport Association (IATA) predicts that scheduled international passenger numbers will rise by over 150 million

in the 2000-2004 period. With an average growth rate of 5.6%. IATA is also predicting 643 million scheduled international passengers will travel in 2004, with Asia showing particularly strong growth and South America recovering. International scheduled freight traffic will rise by 6.7%, it says.
