The organisers of IDEX 2007, the eighth International Defence Exhibition and Conference (E500), are keen to promote the exhibition as the foremost venue to present the newest developments in the fields of UAV and helicopters.
The exhibition takes place in Abu Dhabi on 18-22 February 2007.
IDEX 2007 project manager Abdulla Al Qubaisi says the event, which has the official support of the UAE armed forces, will be bigger and better in terms of delegates, exhibitors and attendees. Plans include a specialised pavilion for UAVs as well as expansion of the rotocraft helicopter sector and a new emphasis on C4iStar.
Organisers of the exhibition are also lending their support to SOFEX, the Special Forces Exhibition and Conference also being held in Abu Dhabi, on 27-30 March 2006.
Al Qubaisi adds that both exhibitions will promote the city of Abu Dhabi as an international exhibition destination.
