Production of the Ilyushin Il-96-300 widebody at the Vorenezh plant is running at a trickle. Moscow-based Domodedovo Airlines recently took delivery of its third Il-96-300 - the first example of the type to be delivered from the factory since February 1996. Just 10 examples of the four-engined, Aviadvigatel PS-90-powered jet have been delivered since it entered service in 1993. Meanwhile, deliveries of the larger Pratt & WhitneyPW2000-powered Il-96T have been held up by a US/Russian financial wrangle.
