Water management systems supplier Franke Aquarotter is displaying its aviation faucet systems, which can be found on many of today’s leading aircraft.
Oliver D. Gessert, company vice president, says: “We have specially designed a lavatory water supply system solely for the A380.”

The faucets developed are available in versions with LED temperature display and water flow is triggered either by an optoelectronic sensor or by a touch sensor.
A separately-controlled electromechanical thermostat maintains the required water temperature and provides safety against scalding.

“The control device constantly monitors the function of the system and transmits all data to the aircraft on-board system. This makes it possible to permanently monitor the fresh water system in each lavatory in real time,” says Gessert.

Franke Aquarotter has also developed a self-closing washbasin faucet for the Bombadier CRJ900, Embraer e-jets and the Airbus A320.
“Water flow is activated by the push cap and temperature selection is intuitive,” says Gessert. “The faucets are hydraulically controlled and the nozzle spray conserves water.”
