The ISC (International Suppliers’ Center)  is expecting more than 140 exhibitors to attend its workshops here at ILA.

Opening for the next three trade visitors’ days only it will be serving as a specialist exhibition and communication platform. German suppliers will occupy Hall 7, while the remainder of the industry will have its own hall, 6.

The ISC is intended to assist with the restructuring of the equipment industry, as well as promoting a dialogue between suppliers and systems companies. It will also help with second and third level suppliers in particular to establish and intensify their business links.

Exhibitors from Canada, Germany, France, Hungary, India, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain, the United Kingdom and the USA will be represented at the ISC. These include companies such as W.L. Gore, Flir Systems, Rolled Alloys as well as associations including bavAIRia and Hanse Aerospace, as well as chambers of commerce and associations from Canada, Hungary, Italy and Spain.

Exostar, the US-based impartial internet platform for suppliers to all sectors of the aerospace and defence industries is attending for the first time. Set up jointly by BAE Systems, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon and Rolls-Royce, the company currently represents 85 of the leading 100 aerospace firms.

Delegations from major companies’ purchasing and procurement departments are scheduled to attend. Tomorrow, some 20 high-ranking representatives of the EADS buying network will be touring the fair from 9.30. The ISC Forums programme will also include a series of presentations in which the representatives of leading firms will describe what they will expect from suppliers in the future.
