The US Air Force's corral display of large aircraft at the show includes a debut ILA appearance by one of the service's veteran Boeing B-52H bombers.
Assigned to the Air Force Reserve Command's 93rd Bomb Squadron at Barksdale AFB in Louisiana, the veteran strike aircraft made an 11.5h, non-stop flight to arrive at the show, says electronic warfare officer Lt Col Mark Alvarez.
Its deployed crew of eight personnel - three more than the B-52's normal complement - will be at the show until Sunday. As the AFRC's only B-52 unit, the 93rd ordinarily provides training for USAF crews, using new-generation equipment such as the Rafael/Northrop Grumman Litening targeting pod.

The aircraft can carry a maximum weapons load of around 70,000lb (31,700kg).
