Germany’s Bundeswehr has selected Elbit Systems’ J-MUSIC countermeasure equipment for its ordered Airbus A400M transport fleet.
Israel-based Elbit signed a partnership agreement for the aircraft self-protection system with Diehl Defence at Berlin air show on 20 May.
Diehl will thus install three of the multi-spectral infrared countermeasures systems on aircraft in question to “ensure complete 360° protection” of the tactical transport, the German manufacturer says.
The first system for the Bundeswehr aircraft is to be delivered in 2015.
