The new home of general aviation at ILA is roger Airfield. The introduction of a permanent display area, separate airfield lounge and small conference centre marks a major revamp for the show's general aviation section.

Among the main attractions are the PC-Aero Elektra One Solar electrically powered aircraft, which is making its show debut, and a 1940s Bücker Bestmann, which has been restored to its original specifications. The newly founded German Aviators' Club is also at roger Airfield and is represented for the first time.
A new theme day, entitled Learning To Fly, takes place on 15 September. Exhibitors and professional and private pilots will be on hand at roger Airfield to answer questions, while visitors can take a close look at individual aircraft and get information on pilot training courses and careers in flying.
