Hawaiian Airlines has appointed former Sabena and British Airways executive Mark Dunkerley as president. He will report to John Adams, who is relinquishing the title of president but will continue as chairman and chief executive. British Airways chief executive Rod Eddington has taken over as Association of European Airlines chairman for the year from his KLM counterpart Leo van Wijk. Irish low-fares carrier Ryanair has promoted both Michael Cawley and Howard Millar to the position of deputy chief executive as it broadens its management team. Chief financial officer Cawley becomes chief operating officer, while finance director Millar replaces Cawley as chief financial officer. Swiss executive vice-president and head of marketing & sales Arjen Pen has resigned, saying changes to the carrier's commercial division and its appointment of former Star Alliance head Bill Meaney to the position of commercial director have left him no future at the company. British Airways general manager for London Gatwick and UK regions Martin Wyatt is replacing retiring Adrian Hunt as the chief executive of its German unit DBA, formerly Deutsche BA.
