Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) president Jorgen Lindegaard has relinquished his interim chief operating officer role to Soren Belin as he finalises an almost entirely new executive management team. Belin has been working at SAS as a consultant with Carta Booz Allen &Hamilton, whom he joined in 1998 after eight years with SAS.
Alaska Air Group has said William Ayer will succeed John Kelly later this year as chairman and chief executive officer. Ayer, president of Alaska Airlines since 1997 and chief executive officer of the airline for the past year, assumes the posts of chairman of Alaska Airlines and president of Alaska Air Group, effective immediately.
Ed Winter, the former Go chief operating officer who is overseeing the merger of Go into easyJet, is to stay on at the UK low-cost carrier as its new chief operating officer when the merger is complete at the end of March.
