• Magellan Aerospace’s MAC 200 small satellite bus has been selected by prime contractor MacDonald, Dettwiler & Associates for the Canadian Space Agency’s Cassiope science data-communications mission in 2007. 
  •  France’s Natexis Banques Populaire and Russia’s largest savings bank, Sberbank, have signed a €500 million ($610 million) credit agreement for deliveries of French-made equipment to Russian customers, including Alcatel and EADS Astrium communications payloads to NPO PM, manufacturer of Express satellites for Russia’s state telecommunications agency. 
  •  All three radar booms on the European Space Agency’s Mars Express have been deployed. The second 20m (65ft)-long boom and third 7m-long boom were deployed on 14 and 17 June after rotating the orbiter sunwards to warm the hinges. Uneven hinge heating is blamed for problems with the first boom’s deployment.
