Alcatel Space has signed a €135 million ($175 million) contract with Eumetsat and ESA for the fourth Meteosat Second Generation weather satellite.
On 6 November a Boeing Delta II launched the Lockheed Martin-built GPS IIR-13 navigation satellite from Cape Canaveral and China launched a Long March 4B booster from Taiyuan carrying the third Ziyuan 2-class remote sensing satellite.
