NASA's Swift gamma-ray burst detection satellite was launched by a Boeing Delta II on 20 November after several delays. Sweden's Maxus 6 sounding rocket was launched on 22 November, carrying payloads to 705km (440 miles) on a suborbital flight providing 12min of microgravity. China launched the 300kg (660lb) Shiyan Weixing SW2 Earth-observation satellite into a 700km (435 miles) Sun-synchronous, circular orbit on a Long March 2C from Xichang on 18 November.
