Nuclear rivals India and Pakistan say they are both prepared for war over Kashmir, following a crisis meeting at the weekend that failed to resolve the escalating conflict in the Himalayan region. "We want peace but we are keeping ourselves ready for war," Indian Prime Minister Vajpayee told troops during a visit to the Kargil. On Saturday, India shot at a Pakistani surveillance aircraft which India says crossed its border hours after the unsuccessful talks ended.
