The Indian Space Research Organisation is planning to launch the world's first dedicated health services and telemedicine network communications satellite to serve remote areas of the country.
The satellite will feature 12to 14 transponders, and will enable the Indian government to provide complementary health-related services to those supplied by national Insat geostationary-orbiting spacecraft.
