Domestic passenger traffic among Indian airlines continued to grow in March as the country's air transport industry recovers from last year's downturn.
The carriers had 3.98 million passengers in March, up 23.4% from the 3.22 million they reported a year before.
Jet Airways and its subsidiary JetLite dominated with a combined 25.2% share of the market, translating into 1.02 million passengers.
Kingfisher Airlines with 23% (899,000), Air India with 17.8% (693,000), IndiGo with 14.7% (574,000), SpiceJet with 11.9% (463,000), Go Air with 5.3 % (206,000) and Paramount with 1.3% (50,000), followed them.
In terms of seat factors, Air India had 66.5%, GoAir 70%, IndiGo 74%, Jet 70.3%, JetLite 72.9%, Kingfisher 70.1%, Paramount 84.7%, and SpiceJet 73.5%.
