AgustaWestland has sold an A109 Power helicopter to the government of the Indian state of Rajasthan. The aircraft will be used for VIP transport of government executives in the north western state.
The A109 Power was selected following a rigorous process of evaluation run by the Rajasthan civil aviation department. AgustaWestland says the Power will be able to operate without limitations and payload reduction in the frequent high temperatures found in that region of India.
More than 350 A109 Powers have been sold worldwide in commercial and military versions.
