India's domestic aviation market carried 3.51 million passengers in September representing year-on-year growth of 31%.
September's 3.51 million passengers compares to 2.67 million passengers recorded in September last year, based on Indian Government figures.
In the month of September Kingfisher Airlines was market leader with 816,000 passengers; while Jet Airways and JetLite had 555,000 and 271,000 respectively.
India's national carrier Air India had 614,000 followed by IndiGo 501,000; SpiceJet 461,000; GoAir 204,000 and Paramount 70,000.
India's government says September's market share figures were: Kingfisher 23.3%, Jet Airways 15.8%, JetLite 7.7%, Air India 17.5%, IndiGo 14.3%, SpiceJet 13.2%, GoAir 5.8% and Paramount 2%.
Paramount had the highest passenger load factor with 84.2% followed by IndiGo 77.3%, GoAir 77.2%, SpiceJet 75.3%, Kingfisher 75.2%, JetLite 71.4%, Jet Airways 69.8% and Air India 67.5%.
