India's Jagson Airlines has reported a net loss of Indian rupees (Rs) 30 million ($661,000) in its fiscal first quarter, against a net loss of Rs7.3 million a year ago.

Its operating loss before interest for the quarter ended 30 June 2011 amounted to Rs26.1 million, compared with an operating loss of Rs3.7 million a year earlier, Jagson said in a statement.

The company did not provide a net sales figure for its fiscal first quarter. In 2010, it posted a net sales figure for its fiscal first quarter of Rs36.8 million.

The airline's maintenance and fuel costs for the quarter decreased by Rs8 million to Rs1.8 million, compared with Rs9.8 million a year before.

The company did not provide details of its other expenses.
