Indonesia and Spain have acquired VIP-configured aircraft for use by their heads of state. The Spanish air force has taken delivery of an ex-Air France A310-300 converted by EADS Casa to allow the aircraft to operate either as a VIP transport or an in-flight refuelling tanker. A second A310 will be delivered later this year. Indonesia purchased an ex-UK Royal Air Force VIP BAe 146 at auction last year.
