Satcoms operator Iridium announced on the eve of the show that Jakarta-based charter operator Travira Air is to equip its helicopter and fixed-wing aircraft this summer with satellite voice and data terminals supplied by US manufacturer Sky Connect.
Sky Connect's Tracker terminal will support cockpit voice communications and datalinks via the Iridium low-Earth-orbit satellite system aboard Travira Air's 17-aircraft fleet of Sikorsky S-76 and Eurocopter BO105B/C helicopters and Raytheon Beech 1900D and Cessna Caravan 208 turboprops.
