Indonesia's Wings Air has received the first of three ATR 72-500s ordered by its parent Lion Air. The turboprops will replace Boeing MD-80s on domestic regional routes. Lion has 12 ATR 72-500s on order. President Rusdi Kirana says that the Wings Air aircraft will be used to "develop feeder routes to the main hubs and expand its network in remote areas of the country".
