Infusion Design is normally behind the scenes, crafting the latest interiors for top aircraft manufacturers.

This year at NBAA, however, the company is in the spotlight, celebrating its 10th anniversary this Thursday by displaying innovative interior designs throughout the exhibit hall. The most exciting part of the celebration is Infusion’s unveiling of four brand new aircraft cabin mock-ups on the exhibit floor for Adam Aircraft, Aerion, Bombardier and Spectrum Aeronautical.

The new Aerion (booth 4750) supersonic business jet short section mock-up on display was created by Infusion Design. Adam Aircraft (booth 4933) will reveal a new interior for its A700 very light jet, which can be seen as a halfshell mock-up.

The full Adam A700 is also being displayed in the hall with the full Infusion Design interior. Bombardier (booth 6418) is introducing a new cockpit model at the show and featuring a short section mock-up of the new interior developed by Infusion. Spectrum Aeronautical (booth 6761) will be displaying a scale mock-up of the Spectrum Model 40 – a full-size cabin mockup with 3D photorealistic illustrations.

The wave of new mock-ups is indicative of a resurging industry focus on interior design, according to Sean Elsner, president and founder of Infusion Design. “The big trend is that aircraft are selling again, which means the OEMs can take more risk with interiors and push the envelope,” Elsner says. “OEMs can position themselves for strength in the marketplace - interior design becomes a competitive advantage.”

Infusion Design has been an integral part of the introduction of new aircraft for most major OEMs in the industry throughout the firm’s 10-year history. It has developed interior designs for business aircraft such as the Bombardier Learjet 60XR, Embraer Legacy, Hawker 400, Premier IA, Hawker 800 XP, among others.

Infusion Design’s groundbreaking innovations include parallelogram window shades, Spectrum seats, the Swing Wing Adam Aircraft table, and many others. “Infusion Design has always stayed quietly behind the scenes, helping our OEM customers build their brands and become stronger companies,” says Elsner.

“This is our 10- year anniversary, however, and we are letting our customers at NBAA know we appreciate their business, and we are going to be around for a long time, and still pushing the envelope with art, style and all the other necessities.”
