From child seats to innovative imitation wood furnishings, German company Innovint has aircraft safety and style all in hand. "Although child restraint systems are not yet compulsory, the JAA, the FAA and the National Airworthiness Authorities are currently establishing regulations for the safe transportation of children," says Manfred Groning, vice-president of Sales and Engineering of Innovint (Hall 5, Stand F10).

"Booster seats and loop belts have recently been banned, so it's likely that well designed technology will be necessary in the future. As specialists in aircraft interiors, Innovint has developed its own."

The seat is dual-positioned and has been developed to hold children of less than two years as well as those up to six years. It's lightweight and easy to install.

Launched

The stand also displays Innovint's Decorative Film Coating (DFC), which is being launched to the public for the first time: "Due to safety regulations, aircraft can't be furnished with flammable products. DFC is the only way to have a stylish wood finish which meet all regulations," he says.
