The 2020,would be fitted to the left-hand side of the flight-deck, to be used from the captain's seat. Installation weight is 22kg, and unit cost about $500,000. Fitting, is most easily accomplished during manufacture, but the HUD can be retrofitted by repositioning the standard overhead circuit-breaker panel. Such retrofits, would be covered by a supplementary type certificate. Maintaining pilot currency to Category III minima is expected to be covered by type currency and not to require separate proficiency requirements, as with normal Cat III operations.
