In-flight connectivity provider OnAir has teamed up with Reed Exhibitions to develop a mobile portal that will enable delegates attending the Aircraft Interiors Expo to keep abreast of events as they unfold. Attendees will be able to access the portal using a smart phone by viewing aixnow.com.

"Staying up-to-date on information via the portal will ensure delegates make best use of their time during the exhibition," says OnAir chief executive Benoit Debains.


BDLI OUT IN FORCE

The German Aerospace Industries Association (BDLI - stand 7D30) is presenting itself as global leader for cabin/cargo solutions at this year's show. "In a rough global market environment, German suppliers and equipment manufacturers need to join forces and focus on core competencies in order to remain competitive on the long run," says the organisation. The BDLI Network Cabin Cargo has evolved from a working group set up in 2005.


CORAL ROLL-OUT

Etihad Airways' Coral Economy cabin's "Inspired Service" product has been rolled out on over 40 of the airline's 62 routes, with the full roll-out due to be completed by the end of May. Inspired Service provides the airline's economy class customers with a greater choice of food and beverage, including menus of up to three courses, with hot desserts and café-style hot and cold beverages.


STG MILESTONE

STG Aerospace has delivered its 6000th SafTGlo aircraft kit following a fleet-wide order by Thai Airways International. The kit was installed on an Airbus A330. Thai Airways made the largest ever order of SafTGlo last year, choosing the ColorMatch OC system for its Airbus A300-600s, A330-300s and Boeing 747-400s; a total of 55 aircraft.
