Flying Colours has completed work on the installation of a "stone floor" in a Bombardier Global 5000 business Jet. The List Components & Furniture-manufactured floor was installed in the entry/galley area, forward lavatory, and aft lavatory area of the aircraft, which is owned by an unnamed international client. "This new and cutting edge process sees the granite get cut into 2.5mm slices and attached to a lightweight backplate, which gives it high elasticity without losing the necessary floor-loading requirements," says Peterborough, Ontario-based Flying colours.
