Perrone Aerospace has introduced a new lightweight, fuel-saving leather seating material dubbed Leather XT weighing 40% less than existing seating material.
The new material is top grain leather bonded to a lightweight, military-grade fabric giving it strength, durability and fire retardency. "Unlike urethane coated fabrics or products incorporating leather dust in an effort to simulate "real" leather, Leather XT offers airlines a genuine leather seating surface that customers have come to expect," says Perrone.
