Inflight entertainment seat integration provider Inflight Peripherals (IFPL) has introduced new elements to its three-year old modular connectivity panel MediaHub. MediaHub uses auto-sensing and auto-switching modular inputs including HDML, S-Video and VGA to which passengers can connect their various portable devices. Passengers can also take advantage of MediaHub's capability as a Stereo Bluetooth pairing point, allowing for wireless streaming of audio from Stereo Bluetooth enabled devices including smart phones, MP3 players and laptops to an in-flight entertainment system. MediaHub is primarily used in VIP and business jet markets, but IFPL highlights it is easily adapted for use by airlines. Noting MediaHub offers a "simple installation route", IFPL says a connection is achieved through a single HDMI cable.
