Three dimensional upgrades for the Rockwell Collins Airshow Moving Map system are now ready for use in airline in-flight entertainment systems.
Rockwell Collins says the enhancements make Airshow the first interactive 3D moving map product for a commercial aircraft.
Airshow is the lone moving map functionality supplying digital output with in-seat interactive capability, says Rockwell Collins. New features included in the latest iteration of Airshow include realistic day and night imagery on a variety of select 3D maps, an interactive 3D relative location indicator and enhanced zoom style maps.
