Rockwell Collins claims its Skybox is the first airworthy and fielded cabin solution that wirelessly streams Hollywood-protected content, including from an on-board Apple iTunes library, on-demand using up to 10 Apple iOS devices. Passengers can also stream movies, photos or business documents from their devices to cabin displays, says Rockwell Collins commercial systems vice president David Austin.
Meanwhile, South African Airways has announced it will equip 20 ordered and two existing Airbus A320 aircraft with Rockwell Collins' Paves 2 IFE system.
