TAM has selected Panasonic Avionics' next generation Android-based eX3 IFEC solution for linefit installation on 27 Airbus A350-900s, and the manufacturer's current generation eX2 for eight new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
Financial terms of the mammoth deal have not been disclosed.
"Panasonic has enjoyed working with TAM Airlines on solutions for their existing 777-300, A330-200 and A320 family aircraft, and we are honoured to once again have the opportunity to strengthen our relationship with one of the world's leading airlines," said Panasonic Avionics CEO Paul Margis.
