An accident investigation training academy for US and foreign investigators is to be set up by the US National Transportation Safety Board. The Board says this is part of its international aviation safety programme, which supports foreign accident investigations while offering research, engineering assistance and safety training. Course development, staffing and site selection for the facility are under way.
