Iran has built five ballistic missile launch pads, according a report by IRNA, the country's official news agency. IRNA reports comments by the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard, Gen Rahim Safavi. Iran has been working on a range of ballistic missiles, including the 3,000km (1,900 miles)-range Shahab-3, an extended range derivative of the SS-1c Scud.
