The Iraqi armed forces are to receive 20 Polish-built PZL Swidnik W-3 helicopters under a deal signed on 15 December between Polish arms agency Bumar and Iraqi deputy defence minister Ziad Catan. The agreement includes four VIP helicopters, four configured for search-and-rescue and 12 W-3W armed variants. The aircraft are valued at $120 million. Poland is also supplying 24 Mil Mi-17 transport helicopters.
