The Israeli civil aviation administration is to conduct a series of flight tests of the first Elta Flight Guard anti-missile countermeasures system to be installed on an El Al passenger aircraft. The certification process is scheduled to be complete by mid-January. In July 2004 US and Israeli investors formed a US-based company to pursue certification of Flight Guard in the USA.
