BVR of Israel is to supply its EHUD rangeless air combat manoeuvring instrumentation system to the UK Royal Air Force. The £3 million ($5 million) contract was signed earlier this month, with further options bringing the potential value of the contract to £31 million. GEC-Marconi will act as the main contractor and deliveries are scheduled to begin within 12 months. BVR will supply the airborne pods for the system, to be known as RAIDS, while GEC-Marconi will provide on site support. BVR has sold the EHUD to Argentina, Germany, France, India, Indonesia, Portugal and Singapore.
