The Italian love of stylish living now reaches into the heart of government following the delivery of the world's first Airbus A319 Corporate Jetliner (A319 CJ).

Following the handover in Hamburg last week, the ACJ is now deployed to carry members of the Italian government in a modified interior that includes conference areas and a complete set of seats for long-distance flights.

The six-month customisation has been completed by Lufthansa Technik, which is working on a second A319 CJ for the Italian government to be delivered in the next few months.

"We're thoroughly familiar with this particular model. We're servicing more than 100 of these A319s in our customers' fleets," says Gunther Kruse, head of VIP and Executive Jet Services at Lufthansa Technik. "The customer is guaranteed a unique individuality of style combined with maximal ease of maintenance throughout the aircraft's service life," he says.
