The Italian Eurofighter EF2000 prototype (DA7) has become the latest to join the flight-test programme, being flown for the first time on 27 January. The first radar-equipped EF2000 (DA5) will also be flown shortly, although weather conditions at the Daimler-Benz Aerospace airfield at Manching, in southern Germany, have repeatedly delayed the flight.
