Japan Air Commuter (JAC) has ordered five Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 turboprops and taken options on one more. The aircraft will be used to replace its ageing NAMC YS-11 turboprops and first deliveries are expected in the fourth quarter of 2002. JAC parent Japan Air Commuter has meanwhile ordered three Airbus A300-600Rs to replace ageing A300B aircraft.
