Japan Airlines (JAL) has ordered three Boeing 767-300ER freighters and three additional 767-300ER passenger aircraft, giving a much needed boost to Boeing’s dwindling 767 backlog. JAL will take delivery of its first 767-300ERF in 2007 for use mainly on routes to South-East Asia and China. Its additional 767 passenger aircraft will be delivered in 2007 and 2008.
