Japan Air Lines has selected Thales Avionics-Inflight Systems' i-Series in-flight entertainment and communication system for five Boeing 747-400s.The recently launched system will upgrade the Thales m-Series IFE system installed on the 747-400s, providing the latest in-flight services fad, computer connectivity. Passengers with laptops will be able to plug them into the system to access e-mail and internet services. The first installation on JAL is planned for next June.
