The US Department of Defense has announced the potential sale to Japan of two Mk41 vertical-launch systems, two Mk48 guided-missile VLS, two Mk36 decoy-launching systems and other related equipment worth about $105 million. Japan will use the military hardware to outfit naval warships under construction. Lockheed Martin and Raytheon would supply the equipment.
