Japan Air System (JAS) plans to suspend Tokyo-Singapore flights from 1 April, as part of cutbacks in international services in favour of more profitable domestic routes. Aircraft and crews will be redeployed on ten new domestic routes planned for launch in 1995. JAS scrapped its Honolulu service in 1994 after a pre-tax loss of Y12.69 billion ($127 million). Seoul, in South Korea, is now its only international destination.
