Veteran aviation map and chart provider Jeppesen has been selected to supply integrated information-management solutions for the Airbus A320, A330, A340 and A380 aircraft families.
Unveiling the deal at the show, Jeppesen president Mark Van Tine said: "We've served the aviation industry over the past 70 years as a provider of paper. Now we're looking forward to at least 70 years of providing digital data and the applications to make use of it."
The two companies will work to integrate the airframe manufacturer's Less Paper Cockpit (LPC) aircraft performance and electronic document modules with Jeppesen's navigation charts, documentation and taxi position awareness (TPA) application. The resulting solutions will be offered from the beginning of next year.
At the beginning of the week, Jeppesen announced that it had won a five-year contract to supply Luxembourg-based Cargolux with tailored manuals, route information charts, electronic Notams, and access to electronic terminal charts via the company's e-Link Web portal.
