Jet Aviation has completed the purchase of K-C Aviation's Transportation Services (KCTS) and Jet Professionals businesses, establishing it as the largest corporate-aircraft charter company in the USA. The West Palm Beach, Florida-based aviation-services company expects to fly 30,000 charter hours in the USA in 1997.

The acquisition of KCTS boosts the number of business aircraft in Jet Aviation's charter and management fleet to 70 in the USA, and 145 worldwide, and strengthens the Swiss-owned company's position as the world's largest provider of aircraft management and charter services.

Dallas, Texas-based K-C acquired KCTS from Executive Jet International in 1992, when the latter company disposed of non-core business to focus on its NetJets business-aircraft fractional-ownership scheme. Now K-C has sold the company to concentrate on its core business of completing, maintaining and modifying business aircraft.

KCTS employees have been transferred to Jet Aviation, which now employs more than 800 people in the USA. Earlier this year, the company expanded its US network of fixed-base operations, taking over management of the Las Vegas Executive Air Terminal at McCarran Airport.
